INGREDIENTS:
- Dosa rice or Idli rice - 3 1/2 cups
- Masoor dhal or Tur dhal - 3/4 cup
- Whole white urad dhal - 1 cup
- Thick poha(Aval) - 1/4 cup
- Dry red chilli - 2
- Methi seeds (Fenugreek seeds) - 1/2 tsp.
- Jeera - 1 tsp.
- Salt - to taste
- Oil - to drizzle
METHOD:
- Soak all the above ingredients together for 4 hrs.
- Grind it with salt to a smooth batter. Ferment for 6 hours.
- Heat a dosa tawa, pour the batter and spread it thin to form a circle. Drizzle oil around the dosa, cook until golden brown and crisp.
- Serve with dosai milagai podi, kara chutney or any chutney of your choice.
